OFFICIAL FESTIVAL SELECTIONS

There’s something special about this time of year. You can feel it in the air, a palpable sense of excitement and the sweet smell of new treats hovering around the corner. Film festival time is upon us and each capital city is either about to have or just had their major event.

Each year cities across the country are taken over by a cinematic fever as punters flock to see the latest releases from around the world. In the age of home entertainment some might question the relevance of film festivals. Why do we need to have them at all? The answer is simple: because they broaden and expand our view of cinema and expose us to new films we would never otherwise see. As a long standing independent player in the Australian film industry, Siren Visual is committed to releasing provocative, genre-defining film and documentary titles. Film festivals are an important platform, both in showcasing new releases and in acquiring new titles to release locally.

Here we’ve presented a small range of our catalogue, all titles that found their audience on the festival circuit.

From the stunning debut effort of the FIRST TIME GREATS to the local documentaries in HOME GROWN CULTURE, the absurd and warped realities presented by SURREAL CINEMA and the unique edge of JAPAN’S EXTREMITIES.
