Launching at the Chauvel Gallery this Saturday A Dictionary of Symbols is an insight into the world of surreal filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowsky and the inner workings of his bizarre mind.
Script excerpts riddled with notes, behind-the-scenes photos and press clippings for the original release of his films make up this collection.
Presented by Siren Visual, TwoThousand and Filmink this collection has been curated to coincide with the special screenings of Alejandro Jodorowsky's groundbreaking masterworks El Topo and The Holy Mountain.
The exhibition runs at the Chauvel Gallery from Saturday, 25 August to Sunday, 2 September.
The opening of the exhibition will take place this Saturday at 8pm, before the screening of El Topo, the film that launched Jodorowsky and single-handedly created the ‘Midnight Movies' phenomenon.
