THE HOLY MOUNTAIN GETS 96% APPROVAL RATING

The Holy MountainThe votes are in from the 56th Melbourne International Film Festival and The Holy Mountain came off a treat. Not only was it the first film to ever sell out an 11pm screening, it earned itself a 96 per cent audience approval rating. Fantastic news ahead of Saturday's Sydney screening at the Chauvel Cinema.

According to the MIFF researchers an audience of "young and funky, serious film buffs and th weekend public" gave Jodorowsky's masterpiece 8.80 out of 10, with 96 per cent of ratings being 'Good to Excellent'.

And as for a selection of audience reaction as they left the cinema

"Truly bizarre."
"Not usually a fan of this genre, but this was captivating."
