30 Nov 2007

Tonight in Hobart is a special public screening of the underground documentary Sticky Carpet. Happening at Hobart's finest house of supreme rolling scuzz and rocking lurch, the Brisbane Hotel, the doco will play before a killer line-up, headlined by the interminable Witch Hats.

1 December
Doors 8pm
$10

Acts are:
Witch Hats (7” launch)

Moe Grizzly - wooden floor dick splinter drunks with guns blues

The Vivids - sun and air translated into an ultimate pop narcotic chupa-chup.

Sticky Carpet is the long overdue cultural recognition to Melbourne's much-loved independent music scene. This raw and vital filmed souvenir interviews the musicians currently leading the charge, today's sonic explorers such as Robin Fox and Rod Cooper, and Melbourne scene stalwarts including Ross Knight (Cosmic Psychos), Bruce Milne (founder of Au-Go-Go Records, In-Fidelity Records) and Roland S. Howard (Boys Next Door, The Birthday Party).
