The year is drawing to a close and we're going on holiday for a bit. It's been a great year, but now is the time to look forward. 2008 is already shaping up to be another fantastic year. Here's a look at what we've got coming up in the New Year:
JANUARY
Burma - a compelling and in-depth report into a country at war with itself.
Shaw Classics: Exploitations of the Far East - the next collection of classic Shaw Brothers films, exploring the studios seamier, exploitative side.
FEBRUARY
Enemies of Reason - Richard Dawkins' latest polemic against irrational thought and belief.
Rational Thought: The Richard Dawkins Collection - The Root of All Evil? and Enemies of Reason, plus over six hours of uncut interviews.
Gozu - a Takashi Miike classic, finally released. One of the strangest pieces of Japanese cinema ever filmed.
In My Skin - a haunting French body horror in which a woman becomes obsessed with her own body and violently explores who and what she is.
MARCH
Red vs Blue - seasons one and two of this hugely popular ‘machinima', filmed entirely in the Halo game engine.
Ex Drummer - a brutal and intense film from Belgium about small town punk musicians loosing the plot.
To The Moon - a celebration of that remarkable achievement and an exploration of the future of space technology.
Evolution - the most comprehensive analysis of Darwin's theory of evolution.
Also coming up later in the year is the multi-award winning series Penn & Teller: Bullshit, the confronting documentary on Darfur, The Devil Came on Horseback, Kriv Stender's amazing film Boxing Day, and London to Brighton, a gritty chase film set in London's seedy underworld.
