Mark Butcher's doco on Melbourne's underground music scene, Sticky Carpet, is playing at The Old Bar in Fitzroy next Monday with The Super 8 Diaries.

Sticky Carpet is A veritable roll call of live performance footage comes from the likes of The Dirty Three, The Stabs, Bored!, I Spit on your Gravy, The Sailors, Love of Diagrams, Pisschrist and many more. Sticky Carpet instinctively conveys the ongoing drive behind the bands - and even gets a little political. Most importantly, it shares in the passion and experimentation of Melbourne's music scene.

The Super 8 Diaries is a document of 12 Australian indie bands (My Disco, Baseball, Eddy Current Suppression Ring, Love of Diagrams), where one song each was shot live on super8 plus interviews. Four years in the making this project is the pet project of local production duo Trainwreck 20/20.
