  • THE SAMURAI HITS THE GOLD COAST THIS WEDNESDAY!

    Head along to The Basement at the Gold Coast Arts Centre this Wednesday the 24th of March at 6:30pom and catch a very special screening of Shintaro! The Samurai Sensation That Swept a Nation, the documentary which explores the cultural impact of The Samurai series.

    Following the screening, writer Marco Sinigaglia will participate in a Q&A session hosted by Greg Newman. Special guest Gary Renshaw will also be in attendence with his collection of rare Samurai ephemera on display, which includes the original wig worn in the series by Koichi Ose!

    Animania has been running since 2002 and it's on again, kicking off in Sydney on the 20th of March at Australian Technology Park.

    There will be heaps of stuff running all day - video games, karaoke, workshops and the Australian heat of the World Cosplay Summit. There's also a screening room which will be showcasing some of our anime titles over the past twelve months.
